The Terre des hommes Hellas

Nora Gikopoulou is a leadership development professional with over 15 years of international experience in the corporate and humanitarian sectors. She has worked with organisations such as Doctors Without Borders (MSF) and Adecco HR, focusing on team development, recruitment, and staff capacity building. 

She is co-founder of Leadetic and currently leads People Development at Agile Actors, while also teaching at ALBA Graduate Business School. Nora holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management and Career Counselling and is committed to inclusive leadership and empowering individuals and teams to reach their full potential.

Makis Drakopoulos is Director of Programmes and Institutional Fundraising at ActionAid Hellas. He oversees the organisation’s programmes in Greece, including community centres, nationwide education initiatives, and civil society support schemes. 

With more than 12 years of experience in social policy, inclusion, and poverty reduction, he has contributed to the design and evaluation of social strategies in Greece and has extensive expertise in EU funding mechanisms. Makis studied Sociology and holds an MSc in Culture and Society from the London School of Economics (LSE).

Afroditi Mallouchou is a Social Worker and Juvenile Probation Officer at the Juvenile Probation and Social Assistance Service of Piraeus. She holds a PhD in Crime Policy and is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Social Work at the University of West Attica. 

She is an accredited mediator, certified adult educator, and experienced trainer of professionals in child protection and social care. Her work focuses on restorative justice, child-friendly justice, and support for children, adolescents, and families through counselling and experiential training.

Iro Bala is a senior partnerships and philanthropy professional with over ten years of experience in international organisations and NGOs. She currently leads private sector engagement for UNHCR in Greece and Cyprus, managing strategic partnerships with companies, foundations, and major donors. 

She has extensive experience in institutional fundraising, EU-funded programmes, and project management, having previously worked with ActionAid Hellas and consulting organisations. Iro holds an MBA and advanced degrees in urban and regional planning and architectural engineering.

Melina Spathari is a journalist and senior communications and advocacy strategist. She currently works with the Child Mind Institute on the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Initiative in Greece, leading strategic communications to raise awareness around child and adolescent mental health. 

With over 30 years of experience, she has worked with organisations such as Terre des hommes Hellas and Doctors Without Borders, designing advocacy campaigns, managing publications, and leading communications teams. She holds a Master’s degree in Translation and a Bachelor’s degree in French Language and Literature.
