The Trauma-Informed Adventure Therapy (TIAT) Program is part of the INTACT project, co-funded by the European Commission, designed to support the mental health, resilience, and social integration of refugee children and youth in Greece. Developed by Adventure Therapy Greece with Terre des hommes Hellas and KMOP, the program uses outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and climbing to create safe, empowering, and trauma-sensitive experiences. It provides practical tools for facilitators and educators to deliver healing and inclusive interventions in nature, fostering trust, teamwork, and emotional growth.
Funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). Neither the European Union nor EACEA can be held responsible for them.
