The first activities in Greece have begun

We are very happy to announce the launch of INTACT activities in Greece — an initiative designed to support the psychosocial well-being of unaccompanied children through outdoor engagement and experiential learning.

On July 11 and 17, 2025, Terre des hommes Hellas, in collaboration with the “Elpida” shelter for unaccompanied minors, organized the first two outdoor sessions of the program. These sessions offered children the opportunity to step out of the urban routine and reconnect with nature, while engaging in empowering group activities.

Set in natural environments outside the city, the activities included hiking, cycling, climbing, team-building exercises, and creative games. The sessions were facilitated by the specialized team of Adventure Therapy, focusing on emotional resilience, trust-building, and social connection.

INTACT aims to equip children with tools that enhance their physical and mental well-being while creating safe spaces for exploration, bonding, and joy. These initial activities are just the beginning — more workshops and outings will follow in collaboration with other shelters and local communities.

We are deeply grateful to all partners (Adventure Therapy & KMOP) and Elpida shelter team for their collaboration, and especially to the children, who embraced the experience with curiosity, enthusiasm, and courage.
