On 16 July 2025, Terre des hommes Hellas joined over 80 civil society organisations in Greece and internationally in calling for the immediate withdrawal of Article 79 of Law 5218/2025, which suspends the right to seek asylum for people arriving in Greece from North Africa. This provision constitutes a violation of international and EU law and undermines the core principles of human rights protection.
